3rd Grade - Free Clay Day!

As a way to remind students of classroom expectations in Art, we started the year with a 50 Point Challenge.  Classes have an opportunity to earn 5 points per class.  When they reach 50 points, they are allowed to vote on the next art project.  It was no surprise that 3rd graders voted for a "free clay day."   After a brief review of tips and tricks for working with clay, they got to work creating an impressive variety of cupcakes, mini mugs, bowls, and other sculptural objects.  A very happy group of third graders will be bringing home their clay treasures this week.
